Tai Chi for Arthritis Falls & Prevention:­

This program uses the Sun (Soong) st­yle of Tai Chi which offers slower                                             movements that strengthen both body and mind.

Junior Achievment:

Financial literacy.

Girl Talk/Cool Dudes:­

This life skills program is for girls and boys 6th-9th grade. It teaches them how to develop healthy attitudes and lifestyle while addressing health and social issues in a safe environment.­

Summer Food Service Program:­

Free meals (breakfast and lunch) are provided to kids 0-18 year old during summer school.                       This program is available to both students and children in our community.­

Exploring Foods:­

This program is for preschoolers. In 6 sessions, young children are shown fun and exciting ways to learn new food groups. Examples: Making Clown faces out of fruits or super heroes out of veggies.

Fun and Fit, Strong Women:

This is an exercise program for women 60 and over. It is low-impact and gentle. Find this one at the Legacy in Burlington.

Summer Day Camps:­

Offered Tuesdays & Thursdays in June through the 25th. Fun for both age groups of 3-5 and 6-8.

Twice as Nice Thrift Store:

Our thrift store resells donated quality clothing and household items. Money raised as a result is recycled and goes directly to help fund programs for our community.

Getting Ahead Program (GAP):

Teaches how to budget and become an investigator.­

For families with children 0-18. Families learn how to be positive, loving and caring families through discussions, activities and communication. A meal is typically served.

For all ages, this is a hands-on approach to preparing nutritious recipes, learning kitchen saftey and creating meals together as a family.


Prairie Family Center works hand-in-hand with our schools to offer this 12-week, 3-day a week fun, after-school and summer activity for all the Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

A preschool readiness program that is brought to local daycares providing activities including crafts, books and active play.

This is a 6 week course that helps individuals adjust to living with an acute or chronic health issue.

Teaching preschool aged kids nutrition and movement through interactive play with puppets & dance.
